Claude Draude


Claude Draude is a Computer Science professor and head of work group Gender/Diversity in Informatics Systems (GeDIS) and director at the Research Center for Information System Design (ITeG), at the University of Kassel, Germany. She serves as scientific expert for the Third Equal Opportunity Report (Topic: digitalization) of the German Federal Government.
The research design of both professorship and work group covers:

Integrating expertise from intersectional Gender Studies, Feminist Science&Technology Studies and New Materialism into Computer Science
Exploring artistic research and critical design approaches to enhance diversity, participation and inclusion in ICT & HCI
Employing social inequality research to explore the role of social bias in algorithmic systems
Developing frameworks, methodologies, models and technological prototypes for critical, reflective computing
